Account deletion — what happens
Version 1.0 · effective 1 October 2026
When you delete your account, here is what happens:
- Your personal data — name, email, and password — is erased or anonymised within 30 days.
- Device push tokens are deleted immediately, so notifications stop.
- Content you created and shared with your family (events, tasks, lists) may remain available to the other active members of that family, but is disassociated from your identity.
- If you own a family that has other adult members, you first transfer ownership to one of them. If you are the only adult in your family, the family is deleted together with all of its content, including vault documents; otherwise, documents you shared stay available to the family like other shared content.
- A web subscription paid through Stripe is cancelled automatically. Subscriptions bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play are managed by those stores — cancel them there.
- Before you go, you can export your data: calendar as ICS, lists as CSV, and documents as their original files.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We may retain a minimal set of records where the law requires it — for example, billing records kept for tax purposes.
